The Sans-Facon family has certainly found their feet in their new home. Katherine Sans-Facon, a self-employed beautician, said: “Alconbury Weald is proving to be a perfect family location. Our daughter is in the reception class at the new school. It’s ideal for working parents as it only takes two-minutes to walk to. Having the school so close also means that the development attracts a lot of families, which is great for the children as they are close to their friends. We’re quite outdoorsy people and enjoy the four nearby parks for family walks and bike rides. There’s also a gym on the site which is well-used by residents.”
Prior to owning their Hopkins home, the couple rented in London for four years but secured the property with the government backed Help to Buy scheme.
Katherine continued: “We fell in love with our home the first time we saw it. The buying process all happened very quickly, and we’ve found it to be such a straight forward and pleasant process. Anne, our sales advisor, is such a warm person and was really informative – she made a real effort to keep us up to date every step of the way. Our mortgage advisors were fantastic at guiding us through the Help to Buy process – we just had to make sure that all of the forms were signed and back on time and I’d definitely recommend keeping all of your paperwork in a safe place.”
Katherine’s husband, Jordach, added: “We love our family home, even more so after living here for a year. When people come to visit, they always comment to say how nice it is. Practically, the location is great for our work with a couple of major roads within an easy distance.”
Alconbury Weald offers a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes. One of the guiding principles has been to create an exciting new community that provides a unique and inspiring environment for living, working, learning and leisure, which is apparent in its tranquil setting.
